What started as a partnership between two college classmates, Robert Goodwin and Joseph Procter Jr. on a Boston sidewalk in 1912, has grown to 16 offices across North America, Asia, and Europe. The Goodwin Santa Monica office, located at 520 Broadway required an expansion to support the growing law firm.

A long-time ECC client, Goodwin acquired a second floor and incorporated a beautifully designed interconnecting staircase to connect the floors.  Meticulous attention to detail was required in order to achieve the desired “floating” aesthetic. Additional design and layout details, such as perimeter offices and the use of glass throughout, create a light- filled, energetic space for Goodwin employees and clients.

Despite supply chain issues and unexpected project delays, the finished space was completed under budget in 2023.  The success of this project is truly a testament of project team collaboration to achieve a refined space that Goodwin can be proud of for many years to come.
