It is with great pride and responsibility that we announce ECC has been selected to undertake the renovation of the AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Cultural Center. This important project will provide a new temporary home for up to 190 students from the Sahag Mesrob Armenian Christian School, who were displaced by the devastating Eton Fire on January 8, 2025.
The Eton Fire not only ravaged the landscape of Altadena, but also left the community in shock and dismay, as the Sahag Mesrob Armenian Christian School was among its many victims. While the flames have been extinguished, the journey towards recovery has only just begun. In light of this, ECC is committed to playing a vital role in ensuring that education for these students continues with minimal disruption.
ECC’s Commitment to Community and Education
ECC is honored to contribute to this community-centric initiative. Our commitment is not only to create a space for learning but to help rebuild a sense of normalcy and hope for the students and their families. We understand the pivotal role education plays in shaping futures, and through this renovation, we aim to provide the stability and resources necessary for students to thrive even in challenging times.
Stay tuned for updates on the renovation progress and join us in this journey of recovery and renewal. Together, we build not just structures, but futures.
