ECC40 – 40 Years and Counting!
1984 wasn’t just the year of Footloose, Karate Kid, and Purple Rain. It was a year of milestones: Los Angeles hosted the Summer Olympics, the Soviet Union’s boycott made headlines, Ronald Reagan led the U.S. as president, Space Shuttle Discovery embarked on its maiden voyage, the MacIntosh computer was born—and so was Environmental Contracting Corporation (ECC).
Founded by Aram Arakelian in 1984, ECC was built on a groundbreaking vision: to do business differently. Aram believed in transparent pricing, where cost was driven by time, not materials. This innovative approach reshaped the general contracting landscape in Los Angeles and beyond.
As we look ahead to the next 40 years, ECC is eager to expand beyond office spaces and embrace new opportunities in ground-up construction, industrial projects, technical builds, and Design Build services. Through our ECC Emerging Leadership program, we actively cultivate the next generation of leaders through hands-on learning opportunities, training and mentorship.
Under the leadership of Jack Jibilian, ECC continues to be client-focused and driven by innovation, while staying true to our core values of integrity, honesty, and commitment—values that our clients can always count on.
