ECC and Industrious Co Host Coworking Panel
On September 18 2019, over 75 guests joined ECC and Industrious for an insightful and thought provoking panel on the current coworking market and how the shifting market impacts our industry. Held at the Industrious Playa District Canvas Suites, the lively panel discussed everything from the increased demand for flexible leases to the forecasted recession. No topic was off limits. In light of the failed WeWork IPO, our panelists predicted that WeWork would not remain a sustainable organization against its largest market competitors. Interestingly, WeWork CEO and cofounder Adam Neumann resigned his position the following week amidst rising concerns and speculations over his operational practices.
While this ever changing market provides greater flexibility to the tenant, the method in which it is delivered may change as more Landlords are jumping into the business offering a vertically integrated model aimed at providing improved amenities and long term tenant relationships. How will this shift shape the changing market? Not only did our panelists share their thoughts and insights, audience members provided their ideas and engaged in a lively discussion.
A very special thank you to our panelists, Jorge Colon (moderator), Susanne Molina, Doug Sitzes, Ron Burkhardt, Jenna Gregory and ECC Business Development Director, Kristen Mays.
