ECC Advances Construction on AGBU MDS Collaborative Learning Center

Exciting developments are unfolding at AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School (AGBU MDS) as Environmental Contracting Corporation (ECC) continues construction on the school’s visionary Collaborative Learning Center (CLC).  This transformative facility is designed to empower students with the tools, spaces, and inspiration they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

The CLC is more than just a new building – it’s a bold step toward a future-focused educational experience.  With flexible learning environments, integrated technology, and thoughtfully designed communal areas, the CLC will serve as a dynamic hub for collaboration, creativity, and personal growth.

Key Features Taking Shape

Several signature elements of the CLC are now visibly coming together:

• The Mezzanine:  One of the most exciting architectural features, the mezzanine will serve as a literal and symbolic bridge – connecting the new administration building to the new library.  This elevated walkway will extend over a covered patio featuring collaborative seating areas, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor learning environment.  The mezzanine itself will offer flexible study zones and open views, encouraging both quiet reflection and group interaction.
• Stadium Seating:  Designed to anchor the CLC’s central gathering space, the stadium seating will accommodate lectures, student presentations, and community events.  Its amphitheater-style layout promotes engagement and fosters a sense of unity among students and faculty.
• The Reflection Room:  A peaceful, purpose-built space, the Reflection Room will provide students with a quiet retreat for mindfulness, introspection, and emotional well-being – supporting the school’s commitment to holistic education.
